What is Structural Integration?
Instead of focusing on each symptom, the brilliant 10-session series founded by Dr. Ida Rolf seeks to create a more balanced whole. This series, known as Structural Integration (SI) progressively unwinds the old holding patterns in the fascia by integrating the body with the field of gravity.
Sessions are done mostly lying down. By working deeply with my hands (elbows, and forearms), the body becomes lighter, more resilient, and set up to progressively unwind even after completing the 10 series. Instead of fighting against the ever-present force of gravity, we may find ourselves lifted up. As we find alignment, there is the possibility to move past pain and connect with our innate, infinite capacity for healing.
